Thursday marks one week since COP28 began in Dubai.
Despite the climate crisis disproportionately affecting certain communities, the conference is dominated by big polluters and lobbyists. More than 2400 of them are present at the COP this year.
Private jets, symbolic of excess and environmental disregard, have surged in Dubai during COP28, with CEOs of fossil fuel companies and wealthy individuals using them for climate discussions.
