We demand the EU declare a climate emergency. Now. Leading scientists warn that we have less than 11 years to stop the impending climate catastrophe or face the devastating local and global impact of extreme heat, drought, floods and poverty.
But it’s not too late. By limiting Global Warming to 1.5°C, The International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report says that we can curb the damages of climate change. We already have the solutions to do this, by phasing out fossil fuels to investing in a green economy.
We need the political will to achieve this. People are rising up, striking and urging the EU to take more ambitious action on climate change. The climate must be the priority across all policy decisions. It starts by demanding the EU to declare a climate emergency.
